About the Work

In January 1985, not long after arriving in the United States, I managed to obtain tickets to Ronald Reagan's second Inauguration. Included were two coveted invitations to the 'Inaugural Ball for Young Americans'.
This works shows massed young Americans celebrating four more years. On the dais, George Bush, the Vice President of the United States, and his wife salute the future. This was the first work I made while living in America.
